Book Review of “Shameless”

My experience of the journey of puberty included a sex education class at my church. It was taught by one of our ministers and a psychologist. That class was about as awkward as most of puberty. I am thankful that my parents and church helped me to include faith in the conversation about sexuality. In her book, “Shameless,” Rev. Bolz-Weber attempts to update the conversation of faith and sexuality. Her reflections on biblical narratives are insightful. Her willingness to be authentic and vulnerable is compelling. It is a book for a mature audience. I am thankful for Nadia’s quest to bring healing, hope and holy to a conversation too often muted by shame.
