After the excitement at the top of the Eiffel Tower, we took a lunch cruise on the Siene river in Paris. It was a perfect setting to celebrate our engagement with a champagne toast. The cruise provides a new perspective of many great sites in Paris.
The next day we toured the Palace of Versailles. The palace and grounds are quite large. I found the gardens to be the most enjoyable part of the tour.
The day concluded with shopping and dinner. Watching France win a World Cup match while in Paris was amazing. After the win, the streets filled with fans honking horns and racing around on scooters! Almost as good was the flallafel which was very filling and tasty!
