Navarrete

What a fun day! Started in Logroño checking out farmers market… the produce was fresh and the butchers were showing their skill with blade and clever.

Then a stop to pray at the last church on The Way as I walked out of Logroño…

Walked 6 miles or so to Navarrete seen up head… rather majestic perched on the rise. Pilgrims soon discover that to enter a village is to endure another ascent.

Then I mingled with pilgrims whose path we keep crossing. Navarrete has a refreshing plaza, very open and breezy.

Then some prayer time before dinner. The church in Navarrete was begun in the 15th century. Very inspiring. Sadly beyond my ability to capture the true breadth and beauty of the sanctuary.

Then this happened…
