The Paris Pause

Flight to Paris via Dallas was smooth. When EasyJet told me the flight to Biarritz was delayed, I was relieved for it was a close connection in an unfamiliar airport. When the gate agent told me the flight was canceled, I did not feel joy. I was tired of my clothes, airport wifi was spotty at best….

Silver lining / blessing is this day in Paris. Time to acclimate. Time to do laundry. Chance to meet some helpful locals and discuss the pilot strike and politics.

My leaving for sabbatical was chaotic. While those at home filled me with confidence to go, I left harried with my own stuff. The Paris Pause has given my soul space to breath sabbatical air before my feet step onto the Camino.
